Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Rockstar "Horrified" By Xbox 360 Bully Issues freezing and frame rate

http://kotaku.com/364286/bully-scholarship-edition-sounds-like-it-shouldve-been-held-back

Canis canum edit? More like caveat emptor, kids. We're hearing the Xbox 360 version of Rockstar Games' Bully: Scholarship Edition could stand a few more weeks in the lab, according to reports of bugginess from unsatisfied owners of the game. Reports of game killing lock-ups and audio glitches abound at message boards across the internet, with a handful of readers writing in to vent about their own issues.

Word from the official Xbox forums indicate frequent freezing, resulting in lost gameplay time, amid bouts of skipping audio. Add to that a choppy framerate for the PlayStation 2 port and you have a bunch of unhappy customers. Kotaku reader Matt was plenty pissed to have lost a good portion of his own progress when the game locked up, forcing a reset.

We've contacted Rockstar reps for clarification, but haven't heard back as of publish time.

Wow, even the PS2 version has problems.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

you misread it. it says that the 360 port of a ps2 game has frame rate issues. The ps2 version runs flawless (i own it)

at least it should be an easy choice now for people who own both a 360 and wii.. since wii (for the first time ever) probably is the better game on the technical side of things too, due to all these problems (major framerate drops, sound glitches, etc on 360 version).. and it also has 'godfather' controls if i remember correctly..

I wonder what microsoft will think of rockstar, blaming old 360's?

Well its better to have this issue with Bully then with GTA4.

I wonder why the older 360's are causing the problems.

Hey, at least this problem is being found on Bully and not GTAIV though I'm pretty GTAIV has already been submitted unfortunately. This is either going to make a delay or best case a simple patch.

Looks like the Wii version may sell a bit better now =]
